Iso•Cool™ pillows and mattress toppers feature Outlast® Adaptive Comfort® material that adjusts to the body's changing temperature. The microscopic Phase Change Material (PCM) beads sense whether the body's mean temperature is too warm or too cool. If the body's temperature is too warm, the product absorbs heat and feels cool in order to regulate body temperature. If the body's temperature is too cool, the product releases heat and feels warm in order to regulate the body temperature. i had read that these types (memory foam) of pillows could be very helpful for headache sufferers. without understanding too much of the science behind that claim, i landed here and purchased the Sleep Better Iso-Cool Contour Memory Foam Pillow.

at first, when i received the pillow, it was VERY smelly. i'm not sure what that was...chemicals? the plastic wrapping it was in? someone else's review had warned me about that, so it wasn't unexpected, but WOW-wee! i aired it out, as was suggested. after a week of that, i started using it.

it took about a week or so of steady usage for me to start feeling the benefits of using. i started to notice that wasn't waking up with headaches any more--at all. i used to wake up with a headache a few times a week. i have had the pillow now for 2 months, and i'm still liking it a lot.

it's a little funny if you roll on your stomach and you want to hug it--but i don't do that very often. this pillow is definitely for on-the-side sleepers, and back sleepers which i do most of the time.

lastly, regarding the coolness, i just see it as a perk. it's not as cool as the Chillow(tm), but it doesn't get ridiculously hot like most regular pillows do, so i suppose there is value in that.

The cooling part of this pillow has yet to be seen by me. The pillow itself is comfortable and has provided me better nights of sleep. I like the good support it provides and it appears my lower back pain when waking up has gone away. I am happy with the purchase.

I am writing this review because it was the other reviews for this product that persuaded me to buy it. I had terrible neck pain and now it is gone. I bought the side sleeper, which is great for me. It holds my head at the perfect level. I used to sleep on down pillows, but I think I am a convert. Down pillows are too soft for me. I love this pillow.

These pillows are just what I was looking for. Haven't had a stiff neck since I started using them. Definitely worth the price.
