2 out of 5 stars Material sheds, good for only under a sheet   March 11, 2010
N. Nadel (Mineola, NY)
It gets nice and toasty and has so far lasted for 4 months, but it sheds like dog fur on your clothes. After 1 month, it became very ratty. The material is horribly cheap. Ok to use under a sheet.

4 out of 5 stars Toasty heater blanket for winter!   March 9, 2010
Allan (Bay Area, CA)
We bought this blanket after suffering through the first half of winter with an ice cold bed. It would always take 10-15 minutes to get comfortable at night due to the bed being so very cold. I ended up buying the twin size of this blanket, even though we have a queen bed. It was perfect. Let's be honest, this blanket is an eyesore, and we did not plan on having it on top, so there was no need to have it be the "right" size for our bed. It overlaps the end of the bed a few inches, and is pretty much even with the sides of the bed. But underneath our bedspread, it warms up the entire bed quickly. In fact, you don't want this on top. Having it in between layers seems to help warm things up even faster.

We usually turn it off after warming up the bed 30 minutes before going to bed, so it's nice and toasty when we get in. One night I forgot to turn it off, and it got quite hot inside! So, needless to say, if you are in a very cold environment, this blanket will more than adequately keep you warm. Normally it's on High setting to warm up the bed, but I'm sure if we slept with it on, level 1 or 2 would be fine for us.

Overall, it's worth the price simply to have a warm bed to sleep in every night, even if it is not the most attractive blanket.

5 out of 5 stars Great price and works great.   March 3, 2010
Terry R. Brewer (Las Vegas)
For something this inexpensive, you expect a good (or better said, a bad reason) for the price. I have only used this electric blanket for about a month but I see no difference from any other more expensive electric blanket I have owned. Control works well and I use the unit a very low setting. Another good deal from Amazon.

5 out of 5 stars love it, great value!   February 28, 2010

love it, great value! It is making this Texas winter so much more tolerable.

4 out of 5 stars We like this blanket.   February 26, 2010
BJ (St Pete FL)
We have had this blanket for a month and after reading some of the poor reviews, checked mine out. I don't notice any pilling or shedding. Yes, it is thin material, but prefer that because we do not want a heavy weight laying on us. It heats up nicely. We bought this because we tired of dealing with cold sheets -- we are in Florida where temperatures have been unseasonably cold this winter. We leave it on the lowest setting unless we have a freeze, then turn it up a notch. My only complaint is that the controller is cumbersome to change. This little blanket does its job keeping us toasty without having to wear socks and clothing in bed.
