Product Description
Salter's 914 Baby and Toddler scale was designed with your baby, as well as the future in mind. The comfortable, rounded weighing tray fits securely to keep baby safely in place. And the "hold" feature keeps a steady weight in display even when baby moves about. The 914 also quickly converts to a toddler scale with the removal of the weighing tray. This scale allows you to track your child's growth from infant to toddler and will provide years of use. The scale with tray removed looks just like a Panda Bear, making weighing more fun! Weighing modes include pounds (lbs) and kilograms (kg). Max capacity is 44 lbs (20kg) with accuracy to 1/2 ounce (10g). The extra large 1.2" tall LCD makes reading the display super easy. Power is provided by one 9V battery (not included), and the auto shut-off extends the battery life even further. A 10 year Salter warranty is also standard. Hold Function Uses one 9V battery (not included) Dimensions L - 11.8, W - 21.6, H - 5.7 Net Weight - 104 oz 10 year warranty White

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I needed   October 31, 2009

Scale works great and readings seem accurate when compared to readings at the doctor's office.

5 out of 5 stars Great small pet scale!!   October 28, 2009

This was purchased to be used as a small pet scale. Perfect for the job.

3 out of 5 stars Nice to have   October 19, 2009

I wanted this scale so I could weigh my baby before and after nursing to monitor how much milk she was getting like I was doing at a mothers group before returning to work. Unfortunately it is very sensitive to movement so it is hard to get a precise reading down to fractional ounces...it fluctuates a lot unless the baby is completely still. But it is still nice to have for monitoring weight gain and will probably be more useful when she is older.

5 out of 5 stars Great, accurate weights for babies   September 22, 2009
New Mom (Texas)
This is a great scale for tracking the weight gain of newborns and infants. It has a zero-out function, so I can weigh my baby with her diaper on (which any mother knows is a MUST). It also has a "hold" function, so if she is kicking around like a crazy person (which she often does), the scale will take an average weight, and hold the number for a few seconds after I pick her up. I noticed on a couple of the reviews that I read before I bought the product, some people complained that the scale did not give accurate readings (i.e., one in particular said that the scale weighed her baby at 5 lbs, but that was impossible because the child was a few months old)...the scale reads in both pounds and kilograms. If you are getting a reading that doesn't make sense, toggle between the two...most likely it is reading in kilograms and not pounds (5 kilos is a very normal weight for a 3-4 month old baby - it equates to 11 lbs).
