Product Description
Croscill's Fabric Shower Curtain Liners are 100% Polyester and water repellent. Use the tone on tone stripe curtain alone or as a protective liner for your decorative shower curtain. The curtain has leaded beads in the bottom hem and metal grommets to hang from at the top edge.

1 out of 5 stars Nasty mold smell after a few uses   October 28, 2009

Unfortunately, I was looking for a good alternative to the plastic shower curtain liners and this was definately not it! After only a few showers, the material started to smell moldy at the bottom... so much so, that in less than the 5 months we've owned it, I've washed it at least 4 times! The polyester fabric holds the smell in.... So, I'm looking to try a cotton liner this time. Hopefully the cotton will not smell ... (Also to note, I bought two of these liners for 2 bathrooms). I only use one bathroom and my husband & son use the other ... so it's not like we have 10 people showering daily....in my bathroom, it's only me, and in theirs it's 2 people showering daily. I would NOT recommend this product.

5 out of 5 stars Croscill fabric shower curtain - excellent!   October 15, 2009
MOK (Brookline, MA)
I've been using mine since October 2008. I hadn't written a review, but recently a guest who used the shower and liked the curtain asked where I'd bought it, so I checked the updated feedback. The recent negative opinions surprised me.

I bought it to use as a curtain, not a liner, because I: 1) needed a translucent curtain (no light over the tub); 2) found that the previous clear plastic curtain was hard to clean and always showed water spots; 3) liked the simple design, unobtrusive in my one small bathroom; 4) was impressed by the (then) overwhelmingly positive reviews; 5) paid $11 with free shipping on Amazon, so it was worth a try.

The curtain is 6 ft. long and reaches about halfway down the tub. There are no leaded beads in the bottom hem, but it doesn't fly around or let water through.

It hasn't been machine-washed, but I rinse it off with a hand-held shower spray after use. Because the curtain dries so quickly, I can leave it outside the tub soon after.

No mold or mildew, though the bathroom is poorly ventilated. I do keep the bathroom door partly open after showers.

Perhaps the quality has gone downhill or there are major manufacturing differences among the batches. Or perhaps it just works better as a stand-alone curtain!

3 out of 5 stars Cheap and nasty   September 30, 2009

Arrived today and fabric quality appears okay but no lead beads in bottom as described so not weighted. Holes in top not even so doesn't match up with shower curtain. We have a high end bed and breakfast Inn so in the end I actually decided not to use it because of perceived quality and reviews here. In future will stick with the old adage of you get what you pay for.....

4 out of 5 stars Good Product, overtly prized @ Amazon   September 29, 2009

Very satisfied with the item. I cut one star because I saw similar item at very low price than I paid for.

2 out of 5 stars What leaded beads??   September 18, 2009

I got this nontoxic shower curtain liner under the impression that it has a weighted bottom that would prevent it from flying into the tub like my old liner, but was disappointed to find that it doesn't. What's going on? It doesn't match the online or package description. I think I'm going to have to resort to pinning it to my shower curtain.
