Product Description
The HW/SW Kensington is a wall mount unit. Large enough for the entire family. This NEW unique combination design allows the customer to choose how they want to install it. Product is shipped with the cord attached. However the customer has the option to hardwire the unit if they like (hardware included for both installation options). Ideal for bathrooms with limited floor space. Keeps your towels dry, warm, and fresh all year long. This will help turn your ordinary bathroom into the ultimate luxury/spa experience. Is designed to run continuously 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. It's Filatherm dry element is reliable and energy efficient, using less power than your average lightbulb. Great for year-round use! Really helps draw moisture away during the hot & humid months. Keeps your towels from smelling musty. Also helps eliminate mold and mildew growth. Quicker heat up time, more effective drying and no worrying about oils/liquids leaking from the unit. Great for drying delicates, hand washables, swimsuits and warming baby blankets and bedding. Product reaches optimum temperature within 30-40 minutes, but you need a good 2-3 hours for the heat to build up in the fibers of the towels. Recommend leaving towels on rack overnight before initial use. Make sure to layer your towels (do not weave throughout the bars). Remember this is a low energy device; your towels will be warm, dry and fresh for each use (towels will not be hot like coming out of a tumble dryer). Dimensions 24" W x 5.75" D x 39.5" H. UL & CUL Listed. Minimal installation for softwire option. Professional Installation required for Hardwire option.

4 out of 5 stars Dry towels in a Small Space   September 18, 2009
Dorothy-Marilyn (San Francisco, CA)
I have had a free standing towel warmer in my miniscule bathroom for about 18 mos. It was time to get a wall-mounted fixture to save on space. Therefore, I knew what to expect; either outrageous prices for towel racks which can probably warm towels, or a moderate price for a rack that will dry towels. I am pleased with my choice.

The reason for the 4 stars is that the rack came plastered with lots of big stick-on labels which took time, patience and lots of WD-40 to remove. Not customer friendly.

4 out of 5 stars Quality and Class   June 29, 2009

I purchased this for my husband after a trip to Japan where towel warmers and bidets are part of everyday life. After reading many reviews I purchased this product in hopes that it was what we were looking for. My husband hardwired it in the wall to avoid cords and it looks like a piece of artwork. The construction is solid and sturdy. Using it is a bit tricky. At first we left it on all the time but we soon realized that our towels were being cooked and smelled burnt when we used them not to mentioned discolored. So we now turn it on just before getting into the shower or bath and although the towels are not like they just came out of he dryer they are warm and perfect for us. Now the only problem is remembering to turn it off once the towels have had a chance to dry. There needs to be a built in timer or you could have an electrician add one. Despite the few negatives I do recommend this product to others.

2 out of 5 stars Not worth the price   June 3, 2009

Disappointed with the function of this warmer. It does not really warm the towels unless they are layered, and then the warmth is minimal. I would have returned this if it had been installed prior to the deadline of the return policy. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of appearance and the fact that it will hold several towels.

5 out of 5 stars Warmrails keep towels dry!   May 16, 2009
S. Hankins
I purchased the Warmrails Kensington model about a month ago. It was easy to install and has worked just as described. The Warmrails keeps the towels dry - not steaming hot like they just came out of the dryer - but dry which keeps them fresh and none of that mildewy smell. If you want to keep your towels fresh and dry, the Warmrails are for you.

5 out of 5 stars warm towels   May 8, 2009

This towel warmer and dryer is close to the wall and has a sleak look. The towels are always warm now and newer moist. We use our towel more than once now.
