soft at first, scratchy later November 13, 2009

At first we loved these towels because they were so soft, but after about a year they started to get scratchy. They never got laundered with hot water or dryer. I don't know whether this is just a coincidence but the problem started a few months after we replaced our top-loading washing machine with a front loader.

Lot of great bamboo features, but not great November 12, 2009

I gave it four stars primarily for the price. These are decent towels. I got them in Chocolate and it did not really hold it's newly purchased color. That said, it is still chocolate. The towels are thick and soft, but there are softer cotton towels. That said, what it gives up in softness, it does a fantastic job making up in absorbency. This is my first venture into bamboo towels, so I suspect some of the higher end brands potentially are better. However, they are also quite a lot more expensive.

I purchased a full set including 4 towels, 2 hand towels, and 6 washcloths. As many reviewers have stated; these towels are very soft and absorbant. They looked great out of the box. I followed the care instructions exactly, but after one wash and dry the towels had several pulls. After a second wash the color (green) began to yellow. I was so disappointed as these are the softest and most absorbant towels I have ever owned. I am returning them today.

These towels are pretty heavy, but they are really good. They suck up all the water when you dry off and are durable. After I lost my few these, I knew right away what towels to get so I ordered more.

I didn't even know that a bamboo towel existed before I saw them on Amazon. I then began looking for bamboo towels online. Amazon were the least expensive & I truly mean that they are the best towels ever. You won't be disappointed with them.
