Product Description
This is an attractive and economical method of dispensing soap in the kitchen or bath using your favorite liquid hand soap or dishwashing liquid. Air is infused into the soap as it is dispensed creating a rich, luxurious lather that spreads quickly and rinses off easily. Our pump combines a stainless steel base with a 5 oz. acrylic bottle to look appealing wherever soap is needed. #FOAM

5 out of 5 stars No complaints so far   September 24, 2009

Bought three of these bottles to use with Dr. Bronner's magic soaps for handwashing. Creates a nice thick foam. I used a 10:1 ratio of soap/water since the Dr. B's is so concentrated. No problems with the pumps sticking yet, and if you keep the counter dry underneath, rust rings shouldn't be a problem.

With two little children we go through liquid hand soap at a rate that's astounding. I'm constantly refilling our dispensers. We purchase the liquid soap in bulk but even then it is still expensive. What makes matters worse is that most dispensers dispense much more soap than you really need to clean and disinfect your hands. It's obviously why they do so. The more you use, the more often you have to hit the store to buy more.

Foaming soap is the answer. Since the ratio is 3 parts water to 1 part soap, your liquid soap lasts that much longer. Plus, unlike regular liquid soap where you have to work it a bit to get a lather, with foaming soap the lather is there from the get-go saving a little bit of time.

That being said, I'm surprised at the lack of great foaming soap dispensers on the market. While this product is the best I've found - and we've got a few of them around the house - this product isn't perfect. Occasionally it will stick and will need to be rinsed and cleaned out. That doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's still annoying. Net-net, given the money I'm saving on soap, it's worth the hassle.

4 out of 5 stars I'm free from Dial's pumps   January 30, 2009

Update: one month later, one of my pumps started sticking. I tried removing the head and pumping it upside down to clear it and it helped for a couple days. Eventually went bad again. After disassembling it and stretching the spring, it is even worse. Called the manufacturer, "RSVP" and they are sending me a free replacement. They have great customer service and are based in the US (Seattle).

This pump works very well - I add 20% soap and then add water. The pump seems well made, and I'm hoping it will last quite awhile. I was tired of Dial's foam pumps that keep sticking after they are refilled with the Dial foaming soap.
This is much more convenient. I'd give it 5 stars, but I need to pump twice for my large hands.

3 out of 5 stars Started great, just now pump is starting to stick   January 11, 2009

Your mileage may differ, but after about a month the pump is starting to stick (in the down position). I think I've refilled it about 6 times. Not sure if it's just temporary or the type of soap, or the ratio of water to soap. On the good side, this design was more stable than the one with the big silver pump at the top...the weight is more towards the bottom and the metal ring at the bottom makes it really flat and thus doesn't tip or slide when pumping.

This worked fine for about 6 months. Now it is sticking in the down position. I need to replace it.
