ONLY treads/appliques I found that work on TEXTURED tubs ... October 24, 2009

I LOVE these non-slip TUB (as well as many other places) SAFETY TREADS! I found these treads at Bed Bath and Beyond about 5 years ago after searching and unsuccessfully using several other different brands. I have TEXTURED TUBS (which I think are MORE slippery than the non-textured tubs) and all of the other treads/appliques do not stay stuck on the tub bottom for very long and constantly have to be replaced. These SLIP-X treads work GREAT at preventing slipping AND they stay stuck on the bottom of the tub. The CLEAR color is unobtrusive and looks nice in the tub (and can really only be seen when looking at certain angles with the light). I've used these on our tubs for 5 years now and have been EXTREMELY happy. They are also VERY easy to apply. I just clean the tub, then wipe it down with rubbing alcohol, dry it with a towel and apply the treads. I also don't use the tub for 24 hours after the treads have been applied to allow the treads to stick. These come in 2 sizes ... 7.5" and 14.5". I've used both sizes and personally prefer the smaller 7.5" size. The smaller size is easier to apply (as far as the layout/spacing/coverage of the treads inside the tub).

This product greatly reduces the chance of a slip in the shower. Also, they are very easy to install. There are 8 strips in a package. However, you may want to purchase 2 so you have a greater area in which to stand in the shower. The clear strips are great for colored bathtubs. Be sure to place them close enough together so that one cannot stand without having part of the foot on at least one of the strips.

Good safety treads October 14, 2009

I ordered two packages of the clear non slip safety treads by Venturi, and I'm pleased with them. I used one set in a traditional tub and the other in a newly remodeled shower, and the treads do provide sufficient anti-slip protection. Because I used the clear treads, they are nearly unnoticeable, which I like. Though they're quite thin, they adhere well and stand up to a good scrubbing. Treads would be even better if the surface texture were a bit rougher. Still, I'm happy with product overall--well worth the money.

I dont know if these really work they're ok but dont really notice a difference in the shower. You can probably do without these

This is exactly what I was looking for to put on my whirl tub floor. We use our tub for bathing but also have a shower and these strips worked great. Good tread and so far, they stay on well. Good product.

We didn't want fish or flip flop treads so these were a nice find. They are clear and barely visible.
