Unfortunately, I never studied in geography, finding it a complete bore; all I remember was something about cartography, tectonic plates and so on. But since ordering this shower curtain, I have come to realize what a tiny part of the world the seemingly huge U.S.A. actually is...and because it's in the bathroom, you can't help becoming educated about what is where, which countries are huge and which are tiny, and where all sorts of tiny islands are.

I bought this to replace a similar map-of-the-world shower curtain that had gotten hopelessly grimy after 16 years of use. We've learned a lot about geography from that curtain (it's particularly useful for sneaking away during a game of Trivial Pursuit and returning a genius). This new curtain is nice looking, with bright colors and handwritten titles (instead of typed like our older one). It's not as heavy duty as the old one but still hangs well and was easy to put up. Buyers of similar curtains have mentioned a nasty smell--this one had a slight vinyl smell (reminds me of swimming pool toys) but it aired out completely in a couple of hours. (By contrast the heavier clear vinyl shower curtain liner that I bought separately at Walmart smelled for two days.)
