These burn very well. They make a much larger flame than other fire starters I've used. Also they stay lit a long time. I've even used them for slightly wet wood with great success. Will buy them again.

I've used the same fire starters from a local family owned business for years, but customer service has gone down fast and their web site is worthless. So I switched to these firestarters. About the same price, easy to order, far better service, and they work great! I put a few small pieces of kindling over the starter before I light it. Takes right off and then just add the logs!

At first I was a little skeptical as we have a lot of hardwood..even for kindling..starts very good and lasts at least 15 minutes per piece..good value..beats the liquid goo...

After years of using almost every type of firestarter, discovered the Nuggets and they perform as advertised plus they claim to be enviro-friendly. May be but all I know is that they do the thing - no paper (other than to heat the flue) - logs catch within 5 - 10 minutes. Nice to find something that actually meets the claims of the manufacturer.
