5 out of 5 stars wrong brand of timer   January 26, 2010
Paul A. De Halas (Shingletow, Ca)
I ordered a INTERMATIC HB31R timer (a brand that I am familiar with) however, I received a IIIWOODS timer. So far the IIIWOODS timer is working fine...I was offered to return the IIIWOODS timer but I needed a timer right away so decided to keep it. I have no idea at this time if the timer I received is more or less expensive than the one ordered. No problem, but this particular timer is carried by my local WalMart so I could have picked one up in town and saved the freight. So it cost me more ordering through Amazon.

5 out of 5 stars Outside Timer   December 26, 2009

Nice product, I used the timers for outside lighting. Manufacturer should have made the plug a little longer. Otherwise great.

4 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware of Price   December 11, 2009

When I purchased this product thru Amazon on November 27, I was charged $19.99 each for two timers by Ace Hardware Outlet. After receiving them, the price on Amazon dropped to $11 and is currently $13.01. Will Amazon reimburse my credit card for the difference?

4 out of 5 stars Gets the job done.   December 5, 2009

I would recommend this timer for anyone who is tired of going outside in the cold to unplug holiday decorations. The lid that makes this weatherproof is a bit flimsy but looks like it will do the job. It has so far... The time is difficult to set. My advice would be to wait until the top of the hour so you don't have to guess what subdivision of an hour you are at (they are unmarked). The cord is of adequate length for most uses. I recently (December 09) found a similar Intermatic model at Home Depot with 6 grounded outlets instead of the single outlet that this model offers. The price was the same so it'd be worth your time to check them out.

1 out of 5 stars ANTOnline Substituted A Cheaper Brand   November 24, 2009
Donald F. Kornegay (Niceville, FL)

I really wanted the Intermatic HB31R timer, and that is what I ordered. I've seen them in brick-and-mortar stores and it has the specs that meet my needs. However, the shipper, ANTOnline, sent me a CCI/Woods Model 59382 timer. Although this timer has the same electrical ratings as the Intermatic, the power cord is much shorter (difficult to install), the "rain tight case" is anemic, and the company is unknown to me (not sure how long this Chinese-made item will last). I attempted to contact ANTOnline, but received only auto-replies via e-mail, indicating a "don't care" attitude to me. ANTOnline even listed the Intermatic model on the packing slip!
