Works great! Come on in the early morning while getting ready to leave and shuts off soon after I go. When I come home in the afternoon, it comes on just before I get there. Never a reason to stumble around in the dark!

Okay, so yes it turns the lamp on and off at set times...but then you are not supposed to use the lamp any other time??? I must admit I didn't read instructions...this info is per my husband... but sometimes I want to turn on the lamp other than the "set" times...he says it messes up the schedule.
Otherwise it works fine and is nice to come home to a lit home.

How to look at home while you are miles away September 29, 2009

I like this timer so much that I have bought several more to place in rooms throughout the house. With several timers, it is easy to have your home look occupied while you are away on vacation. In our everyday lives, we set one to come on so we don't come home to a darkened house, and on again in the mornings just as the alarms are going off. Also, my dog likes going out through the garage after our bedtime and again very early in the morning, so another timer lights her way while never forgetting to turn itself off. Before that timer, I cannot tell you how many times we awoke to find the garage light had been left on all night. It keeps adequate time, is very easy to operate, and is reasonably priced.
