I needed something to replace my Clapper. Since it wasn't the holiday season, there were no Clappers available at local stores, so I found this product. It is perfect for my bedside because when I finish reading my Kindle at night, I can just push one button to turn off the light.

Remote switch works as advertised/expected October 27, 2009

The "remote" is kept upstairs in the bedroom. We use this unit to turn on a light downstairs in the den for our birds whenever they get night frights (caused by earthquakes... we live in California).

Range is great, very convenient product.

Switch worked, but range of remote quickly decreased from the expected range of 20+ feet to about only 3 feet. Put new battery in remote and didn't solve problem. Returned switch.

Super Switch short lived October 3, 2009

This wireless switch was easy to install and worked great for about three weeks. But then it stayed locked in the on position, even though the little red power light goes off and on with getting a signal from the remote controller. I called Northern Tool and Equipment and they just said sorry, no warranty on that device. I had probably used it a total of 15 cycles when it failed.

....as in way, way too big. It does work, and that's about it. Returned it and bought the Woods 13568 Indoor Remote Control which is smaller.
