You also have the option to stop the changing colors on any one color by pressing the small push button located on the base of the light. This nightlight helped my son (3 years old) get used to his new room. He absolutely loved that it changes colors, and each night it's become part of our routine to pick a color for the night. The cycling function, where it changes color every 3-4 seconds, is way too manic to leave on all night long, but you can stop it at any color and have it stay that way for the night. This is really a neat light for the price. I'm very happy with the purchase.

I wanted something for the bathroom to give a little light when you, well...need to go at night. This is perfect. I set it on "red" because that is the "darkest" light of all the colors and red is easier on the eyes at night. It gives off just enough light to guide you, but not enough to where you would have to close the bathroom door to keep it from brightning the bedroom. The photo sensor works like a champ. I'm tickled "red" about my purchase!
