My boys (ages 4 & 1.5) love this night light! We put it on for them every night at bedtime and they love to look up at the stars and gaze off to sleep, it's soothing and comforting. The light stays on for about 45 minutes and then shuts itself off, so the batteries have lasted quite awhile now. I also like being able to change the color of the light that shines through the turtle's shell, it keeps it fun and exciting for the kids.

The turtle shell is durable, as my kids have stepped on it a couple of times (as have I) and it's still in great shape. I would highly recommend this to a friend for their children!

This little night light is cute and have purchased another one as a gift for our 3 year old niece, who loves it. It is pretty basic but kids 2-3 years old appear to be entranced by the different colors and stars on the wall.

This is a great night light for the amount of light and different colors it delivers.We use it to soothe our son to sleep. He loves to stare at the stars as we feed him. After wards it's great for the 45 min timer. You dont have to remember to turn it off. I bought 2. One for us and one for grandma's house.

Helps Kids to a Calm and Dreamy Slumber April 11, 2009

This is such a perfect gift for my 5 year old son. He loves it. He love everything green, and the option to have 3 choices of light colors is great. You have green, blue and amber to choose from. Includes 3 AAA batteries, now, that you don't hear very often. It has a built-in 45-minute timer in case you forget to turn it off.

It comes with a cute tiny story book about the little turtle who was able to find his home after a great flood by tracking the constellation of stars. His dad was very proud for this accomplishment who spoke about and taught him about these special group of stars.

The turtle is cute, the shell is made of hard plastic with holes of stars and the moon. The light is projected to the ceiling and makes my kids start the bedtime pleasantly calm and ready for a dreamy slumber.

I will be buying more for gifts if this goes down under 20$.
