This night light is very cute. The monkey is adorable and matches my crib set. However, there is no switch to turn it off & on so it has to be unplugged to shut it off. It's cute, but a little inconvenient.

The light bulb would stay lit all day and night. It finally burned out after 9 months. I just bought a pack of light bulbs. It's nice to check on the baby without having to turn the light on or the lamp. It sheds enough light to see him.

this was such a cute night light, it matched my baby's room perfect. But the picture part was so heavy that it would have a hard time staying plugged in, so it wouldnt light up. then the sensor was so sensitive, sometimes it wouldnt light up in a dark room. on top of that the plate then fell off the night light within 2 weeks of use. now it is just a sensor light bulb, unfixable. it is really cute, but NOT designed with common sense.

This is an okay night light, it is kind of cute but not too great functionally. If you want it for the cuteness, it isn't too expensive (less than $15) and you'll probably like it. However, don't buy this and expect it to be a good source of sole lighting at night for checking on your baby.

1. The monkey is painted on a very dense/heavy piece of material that is glued to the green square backing on three pegs. I returned the first one because the pegs sheared off in shipping. The replacement I received has two out of three pegs loose but I have it plugged in and just hope it stays intact. I am debating on whether to return it again. Because the material is so dense, the light it puts out is pretty dim.

2. The actual night light portion has a light sensor so the light doesn't stay on in the daytime. However, the sensor is very weak and doesn't sense the light as quickly as the plain ones you find in department stores...probably partially because the cuteness hangs over the sensor a little.
