It is amazing that the quality of LED bulbs have not developed farther along. I have been experimenting with the various bulbs for a few years now and sadden to say that no major company has steeped forward to develop an LED bulb that puts out a normal light which is useful. I have led flashlights that will blind you and will spot you something at 75 feet. Why can't they do the same for househould led bulbs. I just ordered 4 more which may have promise. One set uses the Luxtron led which is what they use in the flashlights. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Not a replacement for a flourescent bulb! the advertised savings aren't really there with these bulbs. I bought some and was disappointed when they didn't give the same amount of light as a $.99 nite light. I cannot even read by their light, these bulbs are so dim! I love the idea of these things, and I'll have to see what products are out there which can outlast flourescent bulbs.

We bought a light for our daughters room as a night light. The light was a perfect brightness for this, but after 6 months, a flicker developed. After 9 months, the light was occasionally going completely dark. An LED light bulb should last for multiple years, not 6 months.

I read all the reviews and expected this bulb to be dim. I wasn't disappointed. It is very dim, but it worked where I wanted it: in my garage opener. The incandescent bulbs were burning out every few weeks, so I am very hopeful these will last longer as well as consume much less energy. They are worth the $10 I paid, but not the $29 list price. They are very dim!

I bought this a while ago (probably some time last year) when it was priced way over $10 then. I use this for my table lamp and have been happy with it. The good thing about this LED bulb is that although its light is a little dim, it has no glare (unlike CFL bulb with UV light) and is very comfortable to eyes, which therefore makes it a good reading light. Don't expect its light to be like regular light you know but accept it as is, beside, you would definitely see the lower electricity bill using this.
