Nice choice for a toddler's room--but the bottom comes off easily November 9, 2009

Great product. Works just as advertised and better (generally lasts longer than 8 hours fully charged). My only complaint is that the bottom comes off easily (even for a toddler who doesn't have much in the way of manual dexterity). But it's still a great product and our son loves it. We've nicknamed them the "Ooma Loomas" and his face lights up every time we bring them out for bedtime. We don't, however, let him have them unsupervised due to the bottom coming off issue.

Received these as a baby shower gift and love them. They give off just the perfect amount of light to not wake my son, but allow me to check on him. They are cute and fun to play with for him. We will use these for many years. I have given them as gifts to all my expecting friends.

We love this product! It is perfect for lighting up a child's room, especially if your child is afraid of the dark. Normally we only need to use one and not both each night since one is bright enough. We've had this for about six months and have not experienced any problems with the lights or batteries not working yet.
It feels a little fragile, so I would caution that the child not view it as a toy to play with though..

To start, our vendor had great customer service.

We got our lights in and the box did not come with the rechargeable batteries. Our vendor had OXO ship them directly to our house. They arrived and only one of them worked. They're an oddball sized battery so it's not like you can easily replace them yourself.

The one that does work, works great and lasts for 8 or 9 hours (all night) before it needs a recharge. For a night light the light output is perfect and not at all glaring.

Adorable -- but look for them at Marshalls! September 11, 2009

I fell in love with these lights the second I saw them, but there was no way I was paying $50 for them. One lucky day, however, I found them at Marshalls (they had the orange and pink AND the blue and green versions) for $13. What a steal! They look adorable in our babies' pink and orange nursery.

They work better than I expected. When you take one off of the cradle, it lights up. You can push the button on the bottom to turn it off if you want. When we lost electricity in the house one night, they automatically lit up (since they were no longer being charged). They're pretty cool!

Before you buy these online, I'd go to your local Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Home Goods first.
