A Much Better than Average Timer October 30, 2009

I've used different makes & models of electronic timers over the years & find that this timer is the best dedicated appliance timer I've ever owned.

The only reason for the 4 star rating is that the programming may be difficult for a novice. You do have to read the instructions with this timer because the operation is not intuitive, especially for someone used to turn key electronics (and routinely dispose the instructions without ever reading it).

Otherwise, I liked this timer well enough to order a 2nd identical timer from Amazon. Additionally, Intermatic's limited lifetime warranty is a plus.

Fantastic device for the price, very flexible and good amperage rating. I use them for everything from Christmas tree lights to controlling a hot-water re-circulation pump.

This item seemed great in the beginning but it doesn't work consistently. So far I am able to live with it. If I give up on it I would likely buy another and hope it works without problems.
