4 out of 5 stars Perfect for the Price   November 5, 2009
D. J. Ellison Jr. (New Orleans, LA United States)
Our family has purchased three packages and distributed the lights throughout the household. Electricity consumption is 1/10th of a single standard 7 watt nightlight. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Feit Customer Service is excellent -- one of the lights was broken and they quickly sent us a replacement at no cost.

4 out of 5 stars So far so good   September 28, 2009

Have had these lights for a little over a month and so far I have no complaints. As described by other reviews the theater lights do not turn off.

4 out of 5 stars a bright, cool, energy efficient nightlight (that may be a little too bright?)   September 27, 2009
R. Friesel Jr. (Burlington, VT USA)
Though there were three more nightlights in here than we needed, it seemed a good enough bargain that we went for it. Thus far, pretty satisfied overall. Nowadays it's hard to beat LED for energy efficiency (and thus cost-savings in your electric bill) and with the light-sensor, you can be sure that they'll only be on when you need them.

Right? Mostly right.

Two pieces of critique for these nightlights:

(1) The light sensor seems to have a pretty low light/dark threshold. As at least one other reviewer has noted, the "theater" lights often do not respond to overhead lights or during the early part of the morning. In the rooms where we use those we tend to only put them in and take them out when they're needed. The six "pillar" lights have a similar problem where they come on when there is still enough light by which to see. The threshold is not adjustable. Fortunately this is really only a problem in two of the four rooms where we use these.

(2) Maybe a little too bright...? Or just too cool? Having grown up with incandescent lights, I expect a nightlight to be a little dimmer, its pool of light a little shallower, and the quality of the light to be a bit warmer. (The photographers out there will know exactly what I mean by "warmer".) That said, these LED nightlights seem to cast a very bright light that does not reach terribly far. The quality of the light is cool and a bit on the bluish side. For most places in the house, all of the above is fine: it provides a decent beacon in the hallway, it illuminates the light switch in the bathroom... but it sometimes seems a bit overkill for the baby's room. (We've tried to shade it a little bit and that has helped.)

Satisfied? Sure. It's a good bargain despite these minor quibbles.

5 out of 5 stars I see, say the blind guy...   September 13, 2009
Luc Belec (Florida)
No this is not only for the kid who is scare of the dark. it's a toe saver, a Pease generator and really save money. I did not have any wall light in my house and didn't care about-it.

Well, the LED light doesn't take much power to run and for my "Home Theater" room, light always been a problem until now. These lights have a nice blue tone to it. It's change the atmosphere in the all house. It's a calming blue effect. They are bright enough to light-up a large room but not too bright to blind you when you look at it.

And it will save electricity. I did not have any wall light, adding those light are extra consummation rite, no. wrong. First of all, I did put one in the bath room, well I don't need allot of light to go pie and wash my hand, certainly not need all those (4)40w vanity light. One flip of the switch will consume more energy than all those light for few years... so there, it really saves electricity. Same thing with the bed room, I don't need to flip the switch for a second, to see the path to the bed.

That is not the best bill that will save you. It's will save you Emergency visit. I did put these lights thru the all house, every room, corridor, where ever I need to see after dark. If something didn't got put away or simply move, I can see it... If it doesn't save me a doctor visit, it certainly save me allot of pain and frustration... (Warning, Teen in the house).

More in detail, the sensor is perfectly set-up to turn on at the right level of darkness in the room, like I say before it's bright enough to light-up a room, not too bright to hurt your eyes or the one you care about. The theater one is very soft with the diffuser, and is perfect for a Home theater. It's make the room brighter to walk safely around but not too bright to take away from what you see on the BIG screen. The "verticals" one are a bright "cool-Blue" the reflector is perfectly design to make it look like there more than one LED and the crystal separate the flow of light all around making it a nicely spread light and create a clean cool and paissible atmosphere.

In few words, It's worth every penny and sooo much more.

4 out of 5 stars crisp, cool, blue-white light   September 5, 2009
G. Wells (NYC, USA)
the light is bug-zapper-esque, but they'll supposedly last 100,000 hours, versus the warmer style nightlights whose bulbs i've replaced twice already. they also activate perfectly in response to fading light, except for the rectangular theater-style lights, which you should expect to remain on forever (though you might have some success in a bright kitchen, if they're plugged into the countertop-height outlets)...
