My primary use for this mug is to transport hot liquid and pour it into another cup. I do this both for coffee - I don't like it too hot & it saves trips to the coffee pot at work -- and to add water to tea. No other mug pours as neatly. This is completely mess-free. Depress the button, pour and done. No lids to remove. No chance of spill. Remaining liguid stays warm for the next top-off. I have tried this with a lot of other insulated travel mugs and ended up with water or coffee drizzling all over my desk. I know this is a minority use but if you are part of this minority, this is the cup for you. It certainly is the mug for me.

I purchased a cup like this at a local store this summer. I was so impressed that I wanted another. When I could not find one, I looked online and found at Amazon! I didn't hesitate to purchase. This cup does not leak no matter which way it is turned and it definitely keeps hot drinks hot for 4 or more hours and cold drinks cold for 13 or more hours. I could not do without it and would recommend to anyone!

I love this mug -- love it as much as I love anything else in my home. It's great for coffee, keeps it warm, longer than I'll ever need. What I really love it for, though, is cold liquids. I live in Los Angeles, and it gets hot and dry. I can fill this mug up with ice and water, leave it in a hot car while I take a 3 hour hike, and still have icy cold water when I'm done. 3 hours later, there's still ice in the mug. I can also throw it into my purse without having to worry about spills. I don't find the mechanism difficult to use at all -- I've kept ice water at my bedside and had a nice cold drink, half-asleep, in the middle of the night, with no usability problems. Worth every penny.

THIS IS THE SECOND CUP LIKE THIS THAT I PURCHASED. THE FIRST WAS FROM QVC, AND IT WAS OFFERRED IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT COLORS. WISH YOUR SITE OFFERED A VARIETY OF COLORS, ALSO. I REALLY LIKE THIE PRODUCT.

There's nothing special about this cup. Its like a thermos but more expensive.

Having to press a button to drink is kind of an inconvenience, so I keep the lid on when I travel (because its air tight); and when I actually drink my coffee I end up taking the lid off.

As I said, for me its just a high priced thermos. 3 stars out of 5.
